Reaper Daemon is the daemon you let into REAPER, a small local bridge that lets Claude Code, Codex, or any AI agent drive your DAW. Ask in plain English; it makes the real edit in your real project. Humanized drum grooves written into your kit. Surgical EQ on an actual plugin, and it tells you why. No browser extension, no server, no MCP. 100% local, and every edit is one undo away.

Does it learn your taste over time, or is each session basically stateless?
@naimzΒ That depends on the agent you run in it. Mine has persistent memory across sessions because I set it up that way. The skill that it ships with is set up to be self correcting so at the very least it will remember certain preferences but if you set up a proper persistent memory system it's self learning.
REAPER is powerful but the menus can be a maze. Being able to describe an edit in plain English and have it done directly is genuinely useful.
Runaway processes are easy to miss until the fans start screaming and the battery is gone. Having something quietly catch and clean them up in the background sounds genuinely useful.
