ReadRiff started with a simple question: What if one place on the internet helped you think better instead of making you scroll longer?
We're building an independent knowledge platform focused on thoughtful articles and practical insights across AI, technology, business, finance, psychology, productivity, science, and philosophy.

Have you considered adding a built-in reading time estimator and a save-for-later queue? It would be great to bookmark longer pieces for when I actually have time, and knowing upfront how much commitment an article needs would help me plan my reading sessions better.
@karenmoone81429 I really like both of those ideas. Reading time is already on my roadmap because I always appreciate knowing the commitment before starting a long article. A save-for-later feature is something I've been thinking about too, especially for people who discover interesting reads during a busy day. It's still early, but this is exactly the kind of feedback I was hoping to get before launch. Thank you!
Love the breadth here, but a saved-for-later queue with audio playback would be huge for me. A lot of your long-form stuff probably shines even more as a listen-while-commuting version, and right now there's no way to queue articles or hear them read aloud.

I hadn't originally planned audio as part of the first release, but the more I think about it, the more it fits the kind of experience I want ReadRiff to become. Long-form content shouldn't be limited to sitting in front of a screen. A reading queue paired with audio would make it much easier to continue learning during commutes, workouts, or walks. I'm definitely adding this to the ReadRiff roadmap—it's a feature I'd genuinely love to build because I can see how valuable it would be for readers.

One thing I'd love to see is a saved-for-later list with offline reading support, so I can queue up articles on my laptop and read them on the train without scrambling for wifi.

How will the early access actually work, is it just a newsletter or do founding readers get to weigh in on what topics get covered first?
@senses36834 Great question! The waitlist is much more than just a newsletter. Everyone who joins will be the first to receive the official launch date and know exactly when ReadRiff goes live. More importantly, founding readers will have the highest priority for suggesting topics, sharing ideas, and recommending articles they'd love to see published on ReadRiff. While anyone will be able to submit blog ideas after launch, I'll always review and prioritize suggestions from the waitlist first because I want the platform to grow alongside the people who believed in it from the beginning.

Curious about how the founding reader access actually works, will there be a free tier after launch or is it paywalled from the start?
@grkemselimpywm Thanks for asking! The plan is to keep ReadRiff freely accessible when it launches because my goal is to make quality knowledge available to as many people as possible. Right now, I'm focused on building something people genuinely enjoy reading and learning from. If I ever introduce premium features in the future, they'll simply be optional extras—the core reading experience will always remain free.
As for the waitlist, everyone who joins will be the first to know the official launch date, and founding readers will get priority when it comes to suggesting topics, sharing ideas, and recommending articles they'd like to see published on ReadRiff. I really want the platform to grow with its community from day one.

the clean layout and how the categories are presented makes it really inviting to dive in, looks like a lot of care went into the reading experience
@kenanbilalbfyw Thank you, Kenan! That genuinely means a lot. One of the biggest goals with ReadRiff is to make reading feel calm again instead of overwhelming. I wanted the design to stay out of the way so the ideas would become the focus. There are still a lot of improvements coming before launch, but feedback like yours gives me confidence that I'm moving in the right direction.
