AI models now generate essays, documentation, research, and long form explanations, but their interfaces still look like old messaging apps. Reading Layer adds reading width, typography, font size controls across major AI platforms.

I got frustrated by reading long AI responses in cramped margins, i found there are no other tools that do what i wanted, so i decided to build it myself. if you have any feature requests, bugs or any other feedback submit it here: https://forms.gle/BkB3guHs1ZNWk7ht9
One thing I'd love to see is a saved preferences system per site so I don't have to reconfigure the typography each time I switch between ChatGPT and Claude. Maybe even sync across browsers so it sticks wherever I log in.
@erdem532247 right now in this version settings like font/font-size/width are saved in memory and they are used across the platforms. what i mean is if you open ChatGPT and there set libre baskerville font / comfortable font size / 75rem width it will repeat across every platform we just have to toggle on/off state 🫡
finally something that respects my eyes when reading long AI outputs. tried it on a chatgpt doc and the wider reading width with adjustable font size made a huge difference.
Finally feels easy on my eyes during long sessions, the wider reading width and font controls make a real difference compared to the cramped default chat layouts.
love this, the reading width thing is such an obvious miss for basically every AI chat out there. one thing i'd kill for is a per conversation font size memory, so when i bump it up for a long doc it stays at that size when i come back tomorrow instead of resetting every time. would make the whole thing feel way more polished
