Yes I thought the same at the beginning, but the idea here is not to provide a simple marketplace because we have several of those for different technologies, but to provide a platform where our React dev community can publish their content (components, books, videos, entire web apps, etc) without paying anything, monetize them by sharing the product link directly on their social networks without paying high percentages, or using the platform as an intermediate to charge a specific gig, receiving direct payments to their Stripe account, or simply uploading demos of their awesome work completely free with a single step form just to show in their profiles. So I believe this will help our community, and the idea behind charging only 1% of a selling product is having a platform we all can easily use to do all the stuff we love. Share, show and sell our work.

Hi Product Hunters! I made this marketplace called Reactplace, here is a quick explanation of why I thought it was a good idea to create this. 😔 The problem: I love creating React components and web apps but every time I need to start a new project or idea I have to do it from scratch or use a boilerplate that doesn’t have all that I need already integrated. Also, when I used existing web template marketplaces I ended up paying tens or hundreds of dollars 💸 just to find a deception that it was just a general web platform kinda adapted to React, definitely not what I was looking for. If I wanted to monetize any of my components using these template marketplaces, I had to complete complex and overloaded forms just to find out the charges were super high percentages not only to the customers but also to me as an author. So what I want to do? I want a free-to-use single-step-publishing platform where I can monetize or share my components without paying high percentages or paying any monthly fee, creating a portfolio where others can check my work, and be contacted for React development opportunities. 😍 The Solution: I thought maybe I could create this web app, where developers can publish and share their work in one single step, and just charge 1% of the product price (after Stripe fees of course :D), I think a symbolic amount just to keep the platform running.
