YouTube removed visible dislike counts, making it harder to know if a video is worth watching. So I made a free Chrome extension called RatioMeter to bring them back, but with a twist. It uses the Return YouTube Dislike API for accurate community-sourced data.

You know the struggle. You click a video with a flashy title and a killer thumbnail… and 30 seconds in, you realize it’s mid. Or worse, complete clickbait. Or you search “how to get free Robux” and end up on some scam tutorial with 100k views.
It doesn’t just show like/dislike ratios. It also adds a simple tier rating (S-F) and a 0-10 score on thumbnails and video pages so you can spot quality content before you click.
What it shows:
✅ Tier rating (S-F) - Quick quality check.
✅ Like ratio (%) - What YouTube removed, back where it belongs.
✅ 0–10 rating - Like Rotten Tomatoes, but for YouTube.
✅ Total votes - Because 98% from 10 votes ≠ 98% from 100,000.
✅ Engagement rate - To spot polarizing or viral videos.
I figured others here might find it useful, so sharing in case it helps you discover better videos and dodge bait content.
