I’m Fabrizio, an indie developer, and today I’m super excited to share Rateo with you.
Why I built Rateo: Buy Now, Pay Later services (Klarna, PayPal Pay in 4, Afterpay, Scalapay) are great on paper, but they create a dangerous optical illusion. "It’s just $25 a month" feels painless—until you have 6 or 7 overlapping plans across different apps and your monthly cash flow takes a sudden hit. Traditional budgeting apps track past expenses well, but they fail at visualizing future installment commitments stacked across multiple months.
