Rap Genius (iOS app)

I'd love to see a Chrome extension or an integration w/ with news publications to read annotations on 3rd party sites. I like News Genius but don't see myself actively visiting the site to read news.

Has News Genius been shut down? Chrome extension leads to a 404 page and @newsgenius hasn't tweeted since Dec 26, 2017.

Agreed. Other sites are going to win on annotation. This is too much of an MVP because it's a service that already exists and seemingly a half-baked attempt at competing.

It's so smart that they offer a plugin rather than completely investing in a standalone.
