Tired of VC-backed startup chaos? RamenHire is a job board exclusively for bootstrapped, self-funded, profitable startups. Every listing is verified bootstrapped β no VC pressure, no layoff roulette, no "we're a family" culture that disappears in a down round. Browse jobs at calm, founder-run companies hiring engineers, designers, marketers, and more.

how do you actually verify a startup is bootstrapped and not just saying they are, do founders have to share financials or something?
@cemresmywΒ Great question, Cemre β and honestly, the most important
one for RamenHire to get right.
Right now, verification is a combination of:
- Self-declaration on the job post form
- Manual review of each company (Crunchbase check,
funding database cross-reference, quick Google search
for any funding announcements)
- Community flagging β the bootstrapper community is
small and vocal, and people notice when something
doesn't belong
No financials required β and I don't think they should
be. Most bootstrapped founders share revenue publicly
anyway (Indie Hackers, Twitter/X), and the ones who
don't shouldn't have to just to post a job.
The honest answer is that at this stage it's
lightweight verification, not a formal audit. The
longer-term vision is a community-driven model where
verified founders vouch for each other β similar to
how Indie Hackers has built trust over time.
What would make you trust a "bootstrapped" label on
a job board? Genuinely curious what signal matters
most to you as a candidate.
