Rakun Card gives you peace of mind when traveling. Whether you have ADHD, Autism, food intolerances, allergies, phobias, or other conditions and disabilities, Rakun Card helps you manage and communicate this crucial information in a simple and effective way.
@__tosh my favorite question. Rakun is the japanese-english spelling of 'raccoon'.
A raccoon has a mask in order to block the sun, and help the animals see better.
When we talk about neurodivergent people, for example people on the autism spectrum they are masking to fit in. I used to do this a lot, and I'm still doing it in many ways.
Masking means 'pretending', or rather 'trying to fit in'.
I believe the Rakun is the perfect animal to represent people like me.
@michihuber thanks for the question, that's so interesting. I'm not sure, but we are aiming to add as many languages as possible. :)

Congrats on the launch, Peter! Rakun Card sounds like a much-needed tool for travelers. Just curious, does it support multiple languages? And what about regional dialects? Best of luck!
@zoevivianthornton thanks so much, Zoe. What a great question. Yes, Rakun Card does currently support multiple languages. We are working hard to add more languages every day.
We haven't thought of regional dialects, thanks so much for pointing that out. Do you know of any apps who are doing this really well? thanks again
Hey Peter,
How does the app ensure the privacy and security of the sensitive information shared through the Rakun Card? Are there any specific encryption measures in place?
@kyrylosilin great question. All content is stored on device only. When handling translations, user id or device id are not handed over to our translation service. We are working on releasing on device translations soon.
