Rainbound is a free browser roguelike in early alpha v0.1. Play a cat knight or frog mage, explore five biomes and collect relics. Expect bugs, rough balance and unfinished features. No signup or download. Requires WebGPU.

Hey Product Hunt! 👋
Meet Rainbound — a free browser roguelike about a cat knight, a frog mage, and a journey through floating ruins.
My main focus is the experience of playing: controls that feel natural on a phone, a readable interface across screen sizes, and movement and combat that feel satisfying on both touch and keyboard. On mobile, you drag to move, stop to attack, and tap with a second finger to dash. I'm exploring how much depth those simple controls can support while keeping the screen comfortable to use
The two heroes play differently:
🐱 Cat Knight fights up close. Stop moving to slash nearby enemies, then dash out of danger.
🐸 Rainkeeper collects rain by walking and spends it on magic bolts. Keep moving to recharge, then find a safe moment to stop and cast.
The current alpha includes five biomes, collectible relics, and a boss every five floors. Each biome has its own soundtrack, synthesized directly in your browser.
The game runs on WebGPU with TypeGPU and supports keyboard and touch controls. It's free to try, with no account or download required.
Play the alpha here: https://rainbound.pages.dev/
You'll need a browser and device with WebGPU support.
I'd especially love feedback from people playing on their phones: does movement feel intuitive, is dashing comfortable, and is the interface easy to read? Desktop feedback is just as welcome — please mention your device and browser.
Thanks for trying this early build!
