Hey Product Hunt — Arman here, builder of RadTrack. I'm a traveling rad tech's worst stereotype: I don't work in radiology, but I've spent the last decade close to that world (Chicago, Salesforce work for big healthcare clients, family in the field). Two things kept coming up in conversation with traveling techs: 1. Their dosimeter badge stays at the hospital. When they leave, the records do too. 2. By the time they're at their fourth facility in a year, no one — not even them — knows their real cumulative annual exposure. Existing dosimetry products (Landauer, Mirion, RDC) are excellent — and built for hospitals, not individuals. There has never been a personal, portable layer for the tech themselves. RadTrack is that layer. It is not a medical device. It does not replace your badge. What it does: - Log a case in under 12 seconds. Procedure type, DAP, distance from source, done. - Calculate estimated occupational dose using NCRP-published scatter coefficients, inverse-square geometry, and OSHA-minimum 0.5mm Pb apron attenuation. - Track cumulative annual against the NRC 50 mSv limit and the 5 mSv / 15 mSv ALARA thresholds. - Export a one-page PDF you can carry to your next facility. The methodology is fully disclosed in-app and in the PDF footer. Citations: NRC 10 CFR Part 20, OSHA 29 CFR 1910.1096, NCRP Report 160. Why I built it this way: - Dark mode only, SF Mono for data, Bloomberg-Terminal-meets-Apple-Health design language. The audience are licensed clinical professionals — they deserve a tool that looks like a tool, not a marketing brochure. - No patient data ever. RadTrack does not store who you scanned, only what you did. - Free tier covers logging and the dashboard. Pro ($5.99/mo or $39.99/yr) is required for unlimited PDF exports, cloud backup, multi-year history. No, RadTrack is not FDA-cleared and is not a medical device. It is a personal awareness tool that produces estimated occupational dose values from machine-reported DAP and inverse-square geometry. The methodology and limitations are disclosed in-app and in the PDF footer.

How accurate is the estimate?

Within the assumptions of the model: NCRP-published scatter fractions for the listed modalities, inverse-square distance falloff, and OSHA-minimum 0.5mm Pb apron attenuation. Real-world variables wraparound shielding, beam-on time outliers, scatter geometry can shift the actual exposure up or down. The estimate is most useful as a personal awareness tool and a sanity check, not as a calibrated reading.

Does this store any patient data?

No. RadTrack does not capture any information about who was scanned. The only data is: timestamp, procedure type, DAP value, distance, calculated dose. No patient identifier, no study UID, nothing.
