Hey PH! Today, I'm releasing Quora Explorer! Quora Explorer is a browser extension designed to improve the Quora experience for people who enjoy browsing questions on the site. To provide a little insight into why I built it: When I'm trying to learn a new topic, I typically spend some time browsing through relevant questions on Quora about the topic and techniques to better understand it. Each question on Quora has a "related questions" sidebar, and I've found some of the most interesting content on Quora through these links to similar questions. However, I get mildly frustrated at times, because some of these questions look really interesting but have 0 answers or a handful of low-quality ones. To solve this problem for myself, I built a little browser extension that displays a popover above a link to a related question displaying its answer count and the number of votes of the top rated answer. This way, I only spend my time navigating to questions that have quality content that is valuable to me. I think it's a little odd that Quora doesn't have any mechanism to indicate this in its current related questions list, because it's no fun to click on a question just to find it doesn't have any answers. If the product sounds interesting for you, I encourage you to give it a try. I'd love to hear what you think! If you have any questions, I'd be happy to answer them.
