Live quiz games we loved (HQ Trivia, QuizUp) all shut down, and nobody rebuilt the real-time thrill. So we built Quizelo. Drop into a lobby of up to 10 players, answer fast general-knowledge questions, and survive round after round until one winner is left standing. Battle royale, but for your brain. Really smooth experience on iOS. The fact that a full match takes under 3 minutes makes it perfect for commute breaks. Curious if you guys plan to add themed lobbies (like a sports-only or history-only mode)?

Funny you ask: our tournaments are solo (your own runs against the clock and the leaderboard, with prizes), which makes them the perfect home for themes. A sports or history tournament, no lobby to fill. We're more careful about theming the live 10-player mode, since splitting the pool there would slow down how fast rooms fill, and that fast fill is what keeps matches under 3 minutes. So themed tournaments first. Which theme would you want to see?
Picked it up on Android and the 10-player lobbies actually feel tense, especially when the timer drops below five seconds. Matches really do wrap up in a couple minutes, which makes it dangerously easy to say "one more round" twenty times in a row.
@selim2fu3 Ha, "one more round twenty times in a row" is exactly the trap we designed for, so I'm taking that as a compliment 😄
That sub-five-seconds panic is our favorite part too. It's wild how a question you'd normally nail becomes impossible with 9 people breathing down your neck.

The 10-player lobbies actually feel chaotic in a good way, like the old HQ days. Match length is perfect for sneaking in a quick round between meetings.
