Quippy

Hi Guys! Quippy is an image based restaurant search application that enables users to find restaurants from Instagram pictures. Upon logging in with an Instagram ID, you can find images of nearby restaurants. Users may also use the map function to search for restaurants across town, or around the world. Once you find something appetizing, you have the ability to see more pictures from the same restaurant along with the restaurant's details. You can also open directions to the restaurant, share restaurant details with friends, or save the information for later. Quippy is unique in that the app's search process is based almost exclusively on images. This means that there is no need to type a location or restaurant genre to begin searching- you open the app, and just scroll until you see something you want to eat. Additionally, the non-verbal UI means that you can find restaurants around the world even if you can’t speak or read the local language. It's good if you're a tourist or when visiting new places. and there is no language barrier! Furthermore, because Quippy relies on images from Instagram, users are not affected by SEO, restaurant rating scores or reviews from other users. This means that instead of being biased towards what the majority of people like, users are free to explore restaurants off the beaten path, and instead find what they personally like. Quippy is developed by Rich Table Inc., and was first released in 2016. Quippy is currently available to download for free in 18 countries via the App Store or Google Play.
