Hey Product Hunt! I'm Jason Eala, the maker of QuickAltText. So excited to be sharing my first major project with you all today. As a developer who works across many different platforms—WordPress, Shopify, and custom sites—I wanted a single, powerful tool for generating alt text that wasn't locked into one ecosystem. That's why I built QuickAltText as a lightweight, flexible Chrome extension that works everywhere. I know "AI" can be a buzzword, and no tool can offer "1-click accessibility." The goal of QuickAltText is to be a powerful assistant for professionals. It automates the tedious first draft of alt text, so developers and content creators can focus on refining it for context and quality. Some of the features I'm most proud of are: The ability to auto-fill all 4 WordPress image fields (Title, Caption, Description, and Alt Text). A choice between a Standard AI mode for speed and an Advanced AI mode for more detailed descriptions. A secure auth system built for Manifest V3.
