🚀What inspired Quick Notes? Honestly—constant friction. I kept bouncing between different note-taking apps just to capture quick thoughts, reminders, and tasks. Most tools felt too heavy for something as simple as a digital sticky note. I wanted a way to take instant notes *without* opening another tab, app, or workspace. That’s why I built "Quick Notes: a super-lightweight, privacy-friendly" Chrome extension designed for people who want fast, minimal, in-browser note-taking. No accounts, no sync setup, no clutter. Just click, type, and you're done. Everything saves locally, so it loads instantly and keeps your data private. I also added simple tagging so users can actually stay organized without extra steps. While building it, my goal was to capture the “sticky note on your monitor” experience—but make it smarter, cleaner, and accessible from anywhere in Chrome. The process evolved as testers told me they needed something that *didn’t slow them down* and didn’t feel like yet another productivity app to manage.
