I'm Burhan. I built this because HBO Max on the web kept dropping my picture to a blurry quality on its own, and, unlike most streaming services, it has no playback speed control.
What it does:
• Lets you choose the video quality yourself, and keeps it there
• Switches quality in about 2 seconds, without reloading the video
• Adds 1×, 1.25×, 1.5×, 1.75× and 2× speed (Shift + > / Shift + <), with natural-sounding voices
• Keeps ads at normal speed, and collects no data at all
What it doesn't do:
It can only choose among the qualities HBO Max already sends to your browser. In Chrome on a computer that's usually up to 720p. It doesn't unlock 1080p or 4K, and it never touches content protection.
