QRcritter is a completely free QR code generator — no signup, no watermark, no expiry. Make codes for links, WiFi, contact cards, email, and phone, then brand them with your own logo, colors, and dot styles. Download high-res PNG or vector SVG that scales perfectly for print. Every code is static, so it works forever, and everything is generated right in your browser — nothing you type is uploaded or stored. Free QR codes, with a friendly little critter inside.

Hey everyone 👋
QRcritter came out of a small, recurring frustration. Every time I needed a quick QR code, the free generators did at least one annoying thing: slapped a watermark on it, made me create an account, or quietly funneled me toward a paid plan where the code would stop working if I ever stopped paying. That last one is the real trap — people print a "free" dynamic code on a menu or a thousand business cards, and months later it's dead because a subscription lapsed.
So the goal was simple: make QR codes that are actually free and actually permanent. Every code QRcritter makes is static, meaning the data is baked directly into the pattern — no server in the middle, no subscription, nothing to expire. Once you download it, it works forever, even if QRcritter itself disappeared tomorrow.
From there it grew into something I'd genuinely want to use: logo in the middle, custom colors and dot styles, WiFi and contact-card codes, and clean PNG + SVG exports so it looks sharp whether it's on a screen or a poster. Everything runs in your browser, so nothing you type ever gets uploaded.
The critter mascot started as a joke to make it feel less like a faceless utility — and honestly, it stuck. It's on the favicon, in the logo, and peeking out next to every code you make.
It's free, there's no signup, and there's no catch. I'd love to hear what you think — and if you make something fun with it, show me the critter. 🐾
