QR Lume is a privacy‑first QR code analysis tool for iOS. It lets you safely inspect the contents of any QR code without opening the link or triggering external requests. Everything runs inside Apple’s native sandbox, and the app contains zero telemetry, no analytics, and no third‑party SDKs. QR Lume is built for people who regularly encounter unknown or suspicious QR codes and want a safe way to examine the underlying data before interacting with it.
A colleague of mine created QR Lume because he needed a safer way to inspect QR codes during investigations. Every tool he tried either auto‑opened the link or made external requests, which isn’t ideal when dealing with suspicious payloads.
He wanted something that stayed fully local, respected privacy, and let you see exactly what’s inside a QR code before interacting with it. No telemetry, no tracking, no third‑party SDKs.
I’ve seen how much thought he put into this, and I’m excited to help share it. Any feedback or ideas are really appreciated.
