I built PurePen AI Pro after getting frustrated with the constant switching between AI tools and the WordPress editor while writing blog posts. The workflow always felt slow — generate content in one tab, copy everything manually, fix formatting, then move it back into WordPress. I wanted a simpler experience where content generation happens directly inside the editor people already use every day. During development, I focused on making the plugin practical rather than overloaded with unnecessary complexity. One important decision was supporting multiple AI providers instead of locking users into a single model. Different providers are better for different tasks — some are faster, some are cheaper, and some produce better long-form writing. Another focus was keeping setup simple. Many AI tools feel intimidating for regular WordPress users, so I tried to make the process straightforward: install the plugin, add an API key, and generate a post within minutes. The result is a workflow that feels much more natural for bloggers, agencies, and content teams who publish regularly inside WordPress.
