A GitHub App lets you programatically insert badges in your pull request descriptions and then link them to anything. I initially created to deal with JIRA links, but it can easily present any kind of information through the simple and flexible API.

As a long time power user of pull request badge, I can say that our development process got a nice efficiency boost with it. Having relevant url (staging system, issue tracker, etc.) as integral part of your pull requests and therefore as part of the development process is key!

I'm a colleague of Stefan's and have been lucky enough to benefit from Pull Request badge right from the start. It's a brilliant tool; easy to set up and use, and as @tdeekens says, you define things once and then everyone gets to benefit for ever more. One of those "no brainer" tools.
