Puddly is an adorable desktop hydration companion for macOS and Windows that makes staying hydrated feel fun instead of annoying. Rather than sending ordinary notifications, Puddly walks onto your desktop with cute animations, interactive conversations, and customizable reminders. It remembers your preferences, supports Do Not Disturb mode, and quietly stays by your side to help you build healthier habits.

Cute concept. Does the little duck actually pause when you put your machine in focus mode for calls, or do you have to toggle DND manually each time?
@zlemeng6 Thanks so much! Right now, Puddly's Do Not Disturb mode is manual—you can pause reminders for a set duration whenever you need. Automatic detection of Focus Mode or active calls isn't available yet, but it's definitely on my roadmap because I think it would make the experience much smoother. Really appreciate the suggestion! Always happy to brainstorm and chat with people who are excited about building thoughtful desktop experiences!
Cute concept, but does the little guy actually track how much water I'm drinking or just remind me to drink, and is there any way to log it without clicking through a bunch of menus?
@ceylinmehduwwp Thanks for the great question! Right now, Puddly focuses on gentle hydration reminders rather than tracking your water intake. I wanted the first version to stay lightweight and distraction-free.That said, quick water logging, hydration tracking, and daily stats are definitely on my roadmap and I'd love to make logging as seamless as possible, without digging through menus. Thanks for the suggestion!
Love that Puddly actually walks onto the desktop instead of just popping a notification, it makes the nudge feel like a little companion rather than another nag. The Do Not Disturb mode shows real thought went into not making this annoying.
@meral25451 Thank you so much!🩷 That means a lot because making Puddly feel like a friendly companion instead of another notification was the biggest goal from day one. I'm really glad the Do Not Disturb mode stood out too, I wanted it to respect the user's time instead of constantly interrupting them. Thanks for taking the time to try Puddly and share your thoughts!
Does the app track your water intake somehow, or is it just nudges with no way to log what you actually drank throughout the day?
@mertrstemobygx Great question! At the moment, Puddly is focused on being a lightweight desktop companion that gently reminds you to stay hydrated rather than tracking your intake. I wanted the first version to keep the experience simple and non-intrusive. That said, water intake logging, streaks, and daily hydration statistics are definitely features I'm considering for future updates. Thanks for the suggestion! If you have ideas on how you'd like to see hydration tracking implemented or any other features you'd love to have, I'd genuinely love to hear them. I'm always open to feedback and discussing new ideas!
How does Puddly actually track water intake during the day, does it log what I drink automatically or do I have to keep telling it?
@tondogan70828 Thanks for the question! Right now, Puddly doesn't automatically track your water intake. It focuses on being a friendly desktop companion that reminds you to stay hydrated. I wanted the first version to keep things lightweight and distraction-free. Features like one-click water logging, automatic intake tracking (where possible), and daily hydration stats are definitely on my roadmap. If you have ideas on how you'd like that experience to work, I'd love to hear them!
love that puddly actually walks onto the screen instead of just popping up a notification, the interactive conversation bit feels way less guilt-trippy than a typical reminder app
@edanuri1gw Thanks a lottt!!!I'm so glad you noticed that. The walking animation and conversational reminders were designed to make hydration feel a little more fun and a lot less intrusive. Really appreciate you checking out Puddly!!!!
