Most dating apps follow the same routine: swipe, match, exchange a few messages, and hope the conversation goes somewhere.
We wanted to build something with more personality, pressure, and entertainment.
PTB: Center Stage is a social dating app inspired by live matchmaking shows. Users can enter Center Stage sessions, react with Pops, Likes, and Super Likes, answer compatibility questions, send opening lines, and privately chat when a mutual match is created.
The app was designed and developed from start to finish using FlutterFlow, Firebase, Figma, Cloud Functions, and RevenueCat, and it has now been approved for release on both the Apple App Store and Google Play.
ProductHunt!! I am finally done, 🙋🏽♂️
It has been a journey developing this app. What started out as a project just for my resume, I built my intiration of of a PTB: Center Stage. I wanted to make something with more personality — something that brings the pressure, humor, and real-time decision-making back into dating.
PTB mixes dating with game mechanics: users can match, chat, post ribbons, like profiles, and play a Pop The Balloon-style dating game where chemistry gets tested in a more fun way.
The goal is simple: less endless swiping, more real reactions.
I’d love honest feedback on the concept, the positioning, and what features you think would make this stand out even more.
