Why the room nods at an idea nobody likes. Why you always misjudge how long a task takes. Why a small favor first makes the real ask easier. Three-choice rounds on memory, illusions, judgment, persuasion and more — every answer fully explained. Offline.
Hi Product Hunt 👋
I kept running into the same questions at work and just about everywhere else.
Why the same proposal lands differently at 10am and at the end of a long day of
decisions. Why asking a small favor first makes the real ask easier. Why a whole
meeting nods along with an idea nobody actually likes. Why your own nerves are
far less visible to everyone else than they feel to you.
Those all have names, experiments behind them, and explanations you can learn in
about a minute.
It is not only about reading people. Why the first second on a clock feels
too long. Why a dish tastes better on a heavier plate. Why you can stare at a
scene and miss the one thing that changed. Memory, perception, judgment, how we
act around each other — the questions range across all of it.
Some questions cover findings that later attempts couldn't reproduce — the
marshmallow test, power posing, ego depletion, the Stanford prison experiment.
The original versions still circulate, so those explanations note what the
follow-up studies found.
How it works:
- Rounds of five questions, three choices each. One round takes a couple of minutes.
- Three levels — Beginner, Advanced, Expert — from the classics everyone
half-remembers to the details of the experiments themselves.
- The explanation is the product. The score is just what gets you to read it.
- Fully offline. No login, no account, no sync.
- 16 languages.
Android only for now; iOS is in progress.
If you try it, I'd love to know which question surprised you most — that's the
best signal I have for what to write next.
Thanks for taking a look!
