I ve been thinking a lot about what actually makes a B2B lead qualified. A lot of lead-gen tools are very good at giving you contact data, company size, industry, job titles, etc. But that still doesn t necessarily answer the most important question:
Does this business actually show signs that it needs what I m selling?
For example, if you sell web design, a company with an outdated or broken website feels much more qualified than a random company that simply matches your industry filters. If you sell AI automation, things like manual workflows, disconnected tools, slow response times, or repetitive admin work could be much stronger signals. I ve been building Prospect Verdict around this idea: qualify businesses based on offer-specific evidence of need, not just demographics or contact data. I m curious how other founders, agencies, and sales teams think about this.
What signals make you look at a prospect and say, Yeah, this one is actually worth contacting ?
Im Jaxon, the founder of Prospect Verdict.
I built Prospect Verdict after seeing the same problem over and over with lead generation: most tools are great at giving you thousands of companies and contact records, but they still leave you figuring out which businesses actually need what you sell.
Prospect Verdict takes a different approach.
You tell it what you sell and who you want to work with. It researches real businesses, looks for evidence that they may genuinely need your offer, then gives each prospect a score along with the signals behind that score.
For every lead, you can see things like:
• Why the business may be a strong fit
• Potential buying signals and risks
• Verified contact information
• A recommended outreach angle
• A personalized cold outreach starting point
There’s also a built-in pipeline so you can track prospects from qualified → contacted → replied → proposal → won.
The part I’m most excited about is the learning system. Prospect Verdict uses the outcomes of the leads you pursue to better understand what a great prospect looks like for your business, so the goal is for your lead quality to improve over time instead of resetting every time you build another list.
You can try it and generate your first prospects for free.
I’d genuinely love feedback from the Product Hunt community, especially around the qualification/scoring system. What would make a lead-generation tool meaningfully more useful in your own sales process?
Thanks for checking it out!
