From the classrooms of elementary school to the streets of Montreal, it feels like I've been learning French for my entire life. One thing I've struggled with is to consistently have new conversations in the language. Sometimes it feels like too much to ask another person to sit down with me and correct my mistakes while other times a normal case of social anxiety can get in the way. (EDIT: Or there is simply no one around to practice with) I wanted to create an app that would allow me to practice speaking French at my own pace and better prepare me for situations in the real world. ProseAble is the result. Not limited to French though, there is also English, Italian, Spanish, and German. If you find yourself in a similar situation as mine or simply want to brush up on your secondary language skills, I'd love to hear what you think about it!

I gave ProseAble a whirl on their website, and it turned out to be a pretty fun experience. Chatting with the AI was both amusing and educational. I was surprised by how well it could hold a conversation, and the transcription accuracy was spot on. It's a nifty tool for improving conversational skills for real-life moments.

@kingromstar Not exactly, although I can see why you might jump to that conclusion. ProseAble is for people who want to practice their language skills but don't necessarily have a partner with which to practice. Learning, and becoming fluent at, a new language requires an immersion in all facets of that language, i.e. reading, writing, and speaking. Of the three facets, speaking currently has the highest barrier to entry. ProseAble lowers this barrier so that people are better equipped to start, and jump into, conversations in real life with human beings.
