Pronunciation rules for travelers, not language learners

Pronvo helps travelers read menus, street signs, place names, and unfamiliar words out loud in French, Spanish, Italian, and Brazilian Portuguese. Instead of teaching the whole language, it teaches the pronunciation rules behind it. No vocabulary. No grammar. Just interactive lessons that help you decode new words with confidence. First section free, no sign up required.

hey everyone, i’m dhruv, the maker of pronvo.
the idea came from a very simple problem: i was planning a trip to france and realized i couldn’t pronounce anything on a menu. i didn’t want to spend months learning french. i just wanted to know how to read the words out loud without freezing or pointing.
that sent me down a rabbit hole. french pronunciation looks intimidating, but a surprisingly small set of rules explains most of it. the same turned out to be true for spanish, italian, and brazilian portuguese.
i couldn’t find a product focused on just this job. language apps want you to learn everything. translation apps give you an answer in the moment, but they don’t teach you anything. i wanted something in between: learn the rules once, then use them on new words.
so i built pronvo.
4 languages are live right now. the first section of each is free, with no sign up required.
for product hunt, the first 100 users can unlock all 4 languages free with the code PRODUCTHUNT after signing up on the dashboard.
i’d especially love feedback on two things:
does the value proposition feel instantly clear?
after trying it, does it actually make you feel more confident on words you haven’t seen before?
