Hi Product Hunt! I'm Chao, the maker of PromptDirector.
I built it to keep visual references and the prompts behind them together, so they can be found and reused when it's time to create.
PromptDirector is a free, open-source Chrome extension. Save images, videos and public prompts from the web, organize them by project and tags, and browse your library visually. Your library stays local by default, with no account required.
You can also connect your library to agents such as Codex and Claude Code through MCP, or use the built-in creative tools. Optional AI features use your own provider and API key; provider charges may apply.
