Hey Product Hunt! I built Prompt Edit because I was tired of losing my best prompts in random notes and chat histories. I wanted something simple: write a prompt once, reuse it with different inputs, and never worry about my data being locked in some cloud service. The templates are just Markdown files stored on your Mac. Edit them in any text editor, sync them however you want, version control with Git - your prompts, your rules. A few things I'd love your feedback on: - What features would make this more useful for your workflow? - How do you currently organize your prompts? Happy to answer any questions!

Finally, a tool that makes prompt engineering less painful! The real-time editing is super helpful. Does it save your prompt history, so you can go back to previous versions that worked well?

@easytoolsdev Hey, currently you would need to create a new template if you want a new starting point. And if it goes to the variations, you also would need to create a new one, like "User Story X" and "User Story Y".

However a really good idea, that you want to iterate on your prompt template. I will think through how it could be included in Prompt Edit.
