Progress Studies

I'm writing up my PhD on Silicon Valley culture - I focus on VC, early-stage startups and product development as experimental systems, as well as the history of the economic ideas which shape innovation. @patrickc and @tylercowen's article in The Atlantic inspired me to turn the insights I've gained from that research to addressing the question of how tech can start to think about its long-term role in human progress.
