It all started when an acquaintance of mine asked me for advice when my friend moved from an Intel Mac to an M1 Mac and found that the timer application he had been using for many years was no longer working. Normally, it would have been a good story to wait for an update of the application, but it had already been unmaintained for years and was no longer available from the App Store. That is unfortunate. The app he wanted was, ・A timer that is visually visible in the progress bar while working on the Mac. ・It is not buried even if multiple windows are open, and is clearly visible in the forefront. ・A simple setup with no complicated functions. However, I could not find such an application in the App Store. I also wanted to develop MacOS, and the needs of him matched and we decided to start development. This trivial matter led to the creation of ProgressTimer. ProgressTimer is not a particularly difficult app, but a very simple timer app.
