Hello, makers again 👋 I'm Jake, the maker of PROGR. We're back with an app version with even more features. One of the things that I realized is that if you have the strength to do something really pointless and trivial and do it consistently with no reward, you can do other things well. Just crossing off a calendar every night, one day at a time, it's just a promise to yourself, it's really trivial, there's no reward, it's really trivial. But when you do it, something huge happens. Of course, life happens: your kid gets sick and you have to go to the emergency room, you go out drinking with friends, or you have to go on a business trip. According to health psychology researcher Phillippa Lally, it's okay to slip up from time to time because missing a day doesn't significantly affect the habit-forming process. Creating better habits wasn't an all-or-nothing process. I didn't have to feel guilty, I didn't have to be overly dramatic, I just had to keep doing it, which is how I ended up building my first app. It's said that Michelangelo spent nearly four years hanging from the ceiling to complete "The Creation of Heaven and Earth", and it's only then that people say he was truly great, not because of his talent, but because he did it. That was a long one, thanks for reading. Whether you use our app or not, we hope you achieve all of your New Year's resolutions. ps. It's currently available for iPhone and iPad. Thank you for your feedback.
