Product Graveyard is a digital cemetery for products that are no longer with us. Explore discontinued startups and apps, discover what they built, why they died, and the lessons their journeys left behind. Founders can bury their own products and preserve their story, turning failed products into lessons for the builders who come next.
Product Graveyard started from a simple thought: we celebrate startups when they launch, raise money, or succeed. But when they shut down, most of them just disappear.
I wanted to build a place where those products could be remembered, not just as failures, but for what we can learn from them.
So I built Product Graveyard, a digital cemetery for discontinued startups and apps. You can explore what they did, how long they lasted, why they shut down, and the lessons from their journey. Founders can also bury their own discontinued products and preserve their stories.
Interestingly, the 3D cemetery wasn't part of the original plan. When GPT 6 Astra launched, I saw everyone sharing what it could do with 3D, so I decided to give it a try. I asked Astra to help turn the idea of a digital cemetery into something you could actually walk around and explore. It worked far better than I expected. So I decided to add that 3D cemetery experience to the product.
There are already hundreds of discontinued products in the cemetery, and I want to keep adding more over time. Some were huge products used by millions of people, while others were small startups that simply didn't work out. I think there is something useful to learn from both.
