PrintScreenly captures region, window, fullscreen, and scrolling screenshots, plus screen recording to MP4 with system audio and mic, on Mac and Windows. Global hotkeys trigger any mode from anywhere, delayed capture grabs tricky menus and tooltips, and every shot auto-saves, copies to your clipboard, and syncs to a cloud library across all your platforms. Recordings, though, stay local, saved straight to your Movies or Videos folder with no cloud upload, just a clean MP4 that's yours.

I built PrintScreenly because I was tired of screenshots getting stranded on whatever device I happened to be using. Now everything syncs to one cloud library across platforms, so a screenshot I grab on my Mac is already there when I sit down at my Windows machine. — Jeff Schiesser, Bravely Studios

One thing I'd love to see is a quick text or arrow annotation tool built right in, so I can circle something or add a short note before the screenshot syncs to the cloud. Would save me from opening another app every time.

@suna229648 Good news, this is already built in! You can add arrows, circles, and text notes right after capture, before it ever syncs, so there's no extra app needed. Give it a shot and let me know if it covers what you're picturing.

One thing I'd love to see is a built-in quick markup step after capture, just arrows, boxes, and text for highlighting, before it copies to the clipboard. Right now I have to open another app to annotate, which breaks the flow when grabbing something for a Slack message or doc.

@sabri134777 Great timing, that's exactly what PrintScreenly does! After you capture, you get arrows, boxes, and text right there in the markup editor, so you never have to jump to another app. Would love for you to try it and let me know if it matches what you had in mind.

Would love to see a quick annotation toolkit built in, like arrows, blur for sensitive bits, and text callouts, right inside the app before the shot hits the cloud. That way I can mark something up for a teammate without bouncing to another editor.

@yeim7obx Good news, this is already in there! PrintScreenly has a built in annotation toolkit, arrows, blur for sensitive info, all of it, and you can mark things up right after you capture before it ever syncs to the cloud. So you can clean up a screenshot for a teammate without ever leaving the app!

Love that recordings skip the cloud entirely and just land in your local Movies folder — exactly how it should be. The delayed capture for menus and tooltips is the kind of detail most screenshot apps completely ignore.

@emin6zgn Thanks, that delay feature came from getting frustrated one too many times trying to capture a menu before it disappeared. Glad it's landing the way it was meant to.

love that recordings stay local by default while stills sync up, that's exactly the right call for privacy without giving up convenience.
