Hi Product Hunt! 👋 I'm Pablo, the maker of PrintScaler.
The problem: web apps live in the cloud, but printers live on desks, in warehouses and behind restaurant counters. Getting a shipping label, invoice or kitchen ticket from your app to a real printer usually means fighting browser print dialogs, VPNs, port forwarding or fragile local scripts.
PrintScaler fixes that with one HTTPS request:
POST /v1/printjobs → { printerId, PDF or raw commands } → it prints.
How it works:
🖨️ Install a small agent on any Windows, Mac, Linux PC or Raspberry Pi. It shares its printers with your account, works behind any firewall (no open ports), starts after reboots and updates itself.
🧾 PDFs with full options (paper, tray, duplex, copies…) plus RAW printing: ZPL/EPL for label printers, ESC/POS for receipt printers (paper cut, cash drawer, QR).
📱 No computer at all? Compatible Epson receipt printers can connect directly, which is ideal for iPad/tablet POS systems.
🔔 Live job states, signed webhooks and idempotency keys so a retry never prints twice.
🤖 Our docs ship as a single Markdown file you can hand to ChatGPT, Claude or Cursor to build your integration in minutes.
The idea came from a real need: a restaurant client with an iPad POS whose kitchen and bar printers had no PC to connect to. Today those printers receive orders straight from the cloud.
Pricing is per print request, not per page, and there's a free plan (100 prints/month) with no credit card.
I'd love your feedback: what would you print first, and what's missing for your use case? I'll be here all day answering questions. 🙏
