Managing prices on Shopify is far more manual and error-prone than it should be—especially for stores selling across multiple markets.
The idea for pricex came from a real incident. A merchant had a major sale scheduled to go live at 5 PM. Due to last-minute development changes, pricing updates didn’t even begin until after 8 PM. Updating prices across 10 markets took over an hour. Once everything was done, we discovered errors in the price sheet—and the entire process had to be repeated.
This wasn’t a one-off issue. Pricing updates regularly meant:
1–2 hours of repetitive manual work
High risk of human error from spreadsheets and copy-paste
Stressful, last-minute fixes during important launches
While dealing with this repeatedly, a simple question came up:
What if updating prices was as easy as just saying what you want in plain English?
That’s how pricex was born.
Instead of spreadsheets and manual edits, pricex lets merchants update prices using natural language instructions like:
“Increase all prices by 10%”
“Set Summer Collection items to $20”
“Round Nike products to the nearest $5”
As we built pricex, our approach evolved from “faster bulk updates” to full confidence in pricing changes. We added:
Multi-market updates
Powerful filtering (collections, tags, vendors, price ranges)
A preview step before applying changes
The ability to revert anytime
The result is a workflow where merchants go from spending hours to just a few minutes—without fear of mistakes.
At its core, pricex removes the operational burden of price management, so merchants can focus on running their business instead of double-checking spreadsheets before every sale.

This hits a very real pain point 👍 Anyone who’s operated a multi-market Shopify store knows how stressful last-minute price changes can be - especially when launches are on the line
