Here's the moment that made me build this: a merchant runs a bulk price change on 400 products, something's off, and Shopify's native editor has no undo. Now they're fixing it row by row, by hand, hoping they remember what every price used to be. That's the entire reason Pricely exists.
Pricely snapshots every price before it touches anything, applies your change, verifies every single variant actually updated — and if anything's wrong, one click puts everything back exactly where it was. Scheduled sales start and end themselves on time, in your store's own timezone, so nothing gets left running by accident either.
I'm 17, still in high school, and I built and shipped this myself. Not looking for sympathy for that — I'm saying it because I want you to hold the product to the same bar you'd hold anyone else's. If you run a Shopify store, I'd genuinely like to know: has a bulk edit ever burned you? What would make this a no-brainer install for you?
honestly the rollback feature alone is huge, but it would be really useful if you could also schedule a "dry run" that shows what prices would change and how much revenue impact to expect before you actually commit. basically a preview mode so you can double check before it goes live.
That's a sharp idea and honestly not something Pricely does yet — right now it snapshots and verifies after you commit, not before. A true dry-run (projected price + revenue delta before you touch anything) is the natural next step and I want to build it. No promises on timing since it's just me, but it's going on the list. Appreciate you thinking about it from the "what would make me trust this" angle, that's exactly the right question.
Bulk editing with rollback is genuinely a lifesaver, this solves a real pain point. One thing I'd love to see is the ability to apply different percentage or fixed discounts to specific collections or tags in a single operation, instead of having to run separate snapshots and edits for each segment. Would save a ton of time during seasonal promotions.
Good news, this one's already in there — you can filter a bulk edit by tag, vendor, or collection and set percent off, amount off, exact price, or round to .99, all in one operation. So you'd tag or collection-segment your seasonal SKUs and run each segment as its own snapshot-protected edit, still way faster than row by row. If you try it and it doesn't match what you had in mind, tell me exactly what broke down and I'll fix it.
