Prescosoft is a growing collection of 42 free, privacy-first browser tools for files, images, developers, productivity, AI, finance, audio/video, and more. What makes it different is its local-first approach: many tools process data directly on your device instead of uploading it to a server. No accounts, subscriptions, installs, or usage limits. Practical tools that work instantly in your browser.
I started Prescosoft back in 2003 building Windows software for finance professionals. A couple of years later, I created MyPhoto Organizer to help people manage the rapidly growing number of digital photos on their computers.
More than 20 years later, the technology has changed, but the idea behind Prescosoft really hasn’t: build practical software that solves everyday problems without making things more complicated.
That’s what led to the Prescosoft you see today.
Prescosoft is now a collection of 42 free browser-based tools covering file conversion, images, productivity, developer/data tasks, audio/video, finance, AI, and more. I also rebuilt MyPhoto Organizer as the new Bulk File Renamer & Photo Organizer, bringing one of the original Prescosoft ideas into the browser.
One thing I wanted to do differently was privacy. The tools process files and data locally on your device rather than sending them to a server.
No accounts. No subscriptions. No installs. Useful tools you can open and use immediately.
I’m continuing to build Prescosoft around that idea, so I’d genuinely appreciate feedback on the tools, the experience, and what you’d like to see added next.
