PrepClass is an all-in-one app for teachers: a digital class register (grades, attendance, homework), AI-generated teaching material, an interactive whiteboard, and live classroom tools quizzes, beamer games, surveys students join by QR. GDPR-compliant, EU-hosted, free core. Built in Germany.
Loving the all-in-one approach, especially the QR join for live activities. One thing that would make this a daily driver for me: a quick parent communication channel built right in, like short push messages or a weekly digest tied to the register, so I don't have to bounce between three apps to reach families about homework or absences.
@sonergznndt2l4 Thank you, Soner, this is exactly the kind of feedback I was hoping for. Parent communication is the piece I most want to get right. Today it lives on the teacher side: a message hub with ready-made templates you can personalize with AI, a contact list per student, and Elternsprechtag (parent-evening) planning, all tied to the same register. So the foundation, families linked to the class, is already there. A weekly digest pulled straight from the register (homework plus absences) is exactly the layer I want to build on top of that, so you never bounce between apps to reach families. Quick question: would you want that as an automatic weekly summary, or more on-demand when something actually changes?
The fact that students can jump in with a QR code instead of downloading anything is such a smart call for classroom flow. Love that the AI material generation is tucked into the same app as the register too, keeps everything in one place instead of juggling five tabs.
@burhanlbbm Thank you, Burhan, that means a lot. The no-download QR join was non-negotiable for me: a lesson is maybe 45 minutes, and you cannot spend ten of them on logins. And yes, keeping the AI material generation right next to the register is the whole point, the AI already knows which class and subject you are teaching, so it never starts from a blank page. Really appreciate you taking the time to comment.
A feature that would be really useful is letting parents view just attendance and upcoming homework through a separate limited login, since right now everything seems teacher-facing and it can be tough to keep parents in the loop without sending manual updates.
@takbug32958 Great point, Tunahan, and since you and Soner both landed on the same gap, it is clearly a real one. Right now everything is teacher-facing: I can store parent contacts and message families (with templates and AI help), but there is no parent-facing login yet where they see attendance and upcoming homework themselves. It is high on my list. The part I want to get right first is doing it GDPR-cleanly, since a parent view means new accounts and student data leaving the teacher's hands, so I am weighing a lightweight magic-link view (no account needed) against a full parent login. As a teacher, which of those would you actually trust more?
