Prelint addresses a gap ordinary code review often misses: whether a pull request matches the product specs, ADRs, constraints and past decisions the team agreed on. That product-intent layer is especially useful when AI coding agents can produce technically valid code that still drifts from what was meant to be built.

A stronger first-run walkthrough would help: show one source specification, the conflicting pull-request change, and the exact inline finding end to end. A broader interface for product teams to explore the decision graph would also make the context useful beyond pull requests and the CLI.

I would use Prelint alongside a conventional technical code reviewer rather than replace one with the other. Traditional review tools catch implementation problems; Prelint adds the missing check against product intent and documented decisions.
