Prank Your Friends: AI-generated fake news articles for pranking friends

Hey Product Hunt! I'm a medical student and this is my first side project that's actually made money. I built PrankMyNews for April Fools this year as a quick weekend project. The idea was simple: let people generate fake news articles about their friends using AI. I figured it'd get some laughs on April 1st and then die. But people kept buying after April Fools ended. Turns out pranking your friends isn't seasonal lol, people want to do it year round. So I stripped the April Fools branding, added more article categories, polished the landing page. The tech is intentionally simple. Vanilla HTML/JS, Vercel serverless functions for the API, Claude for generation, Stripe for payments. Total build time was probably 10 hours. My favorite part is the built-in viral loop: every generated article has a small CTA banner, so when someone gets pranked, they see how to prank someone else.
