I recently read Practical UI, and I'm glad I did! As a server guy, I was a bit apprehensive about learning design language. But the free preview of the book made it easy to understand and fun to learn. The book offers great practical advice on how to create effective user interfaces. Everything is explained in easy-to-understand language, with visuals to make things easier.

Great stuff! I have been working as a web developer for over 10 years and I have learned a lot over the years regarding UX. However, I've never had a definitive guide to help me in applying these concepts in practice. Practical UI is exactly that guide. Straightforward rules that are easy to apply.

Adham's book is a must have for everyone working with UI or close to UX/UI. Content is priceless, backed by great visual examples. Everyone one, no just Devs/ Designers can learn from Adham's approach to share knowledge. I'm a bit of an old school and I wish this book would be available in print.

Thanks Jacek, glad to hear it πŸ™‚ I've looked into a print on demand option, but it wasn't economical. I'll keep looking though.

I have been wanting to expand and grow as a product designer, and just reading through the first chapter has opened my mind to the things I need to be logically considering when working through my designs. This book is AWESOME!!

So glad to hear it Kevin πŸ™‚ I think the "why" behind the design is often overlooked, but it's so powerful once you know it.

This book has been an epic teaching tool both for UX mentees to help them see applied examples of UI design principles in action, as well as foundational tool for teams I've worked with when collaborating on design systems.

The thing I love about this book is that it is simple enough for non-designers to use as a jumping off point to learn UI design, but it's also a great resource for designers looking to level up their visual design skills. Adham, thank you for sharing your knowledge and hard work with us!

One of the best primers on WHY one design is better than another. Any professional will see and understand all the important considerations that Designers make when crafting a high performing Design.

Thanks Bryan, I was keen to highlight the "why" behind the UI, to demonstrate that UI design is much more than making an interface look pretty.

Huge fan of Adham's work and his Practical UI book. I've been designing for over 20 years and jumped at the chance to get myself a copy of Practical UI -- it's an amazing resource for both beginners and more experienced designers. I've had the book for the last month or so and it's one of the best and most comprehensive UI/UX resources I've ever come across. If you're looking for a no BS, practical guide to UI/UX design that you can refer back to again and again, I highly recommend grabbing yourself a copy. Congrats @adhamdannaway πŸ‘

Adham has a breadth of experience and knowledge that is tried and tested which he has communicated clearly and easily in his book. The book itself structure and the contents itself is really smart and thoughtful bite-sized chunks to help uplift your Design/UI skills whilst giving you the reason(s) behind WHY certain designs work. Articulating design decisions coherently and easily is hard and Adham nails it. If you're looking to learn about design, then grab his book to leap frog your learning rapidly!
