Reviewers largely see Postman as the default tool for exploring, debugging, and sharing API requests: collections, environments, variables, import/export, workspaces, code generation, and the runner make endpoint checks, quick regression passes, and team collaboration much easier. Several users also use it for documentation, mocking, and organizing requests in one place. The main complaint is bloat: slow starts, high memory use, occasional instability, awkward tabs, and some cloud/account nudging. Makers of LayerProof and Bolna also credit it for real API build and testing workflows.
