We've spent two years building this with my co-founder Rick, and the short version is: we got tired of AI that forgets everything the moment a session ends, and of paying per seat for it.

So portablemind is a workspace where your projects, tasks, chat, and documents live on one shared memory that both people and AI agents use. Agents get a role and a manager. Every action is logged and every token is costed. You can drive the whole thing from Claude Code through our MCP server. Bring your own model keys if you want.

Pricing is one flat monthly price, no per-seat fees, because AI agents don't have seats. The Free plan is real: 1M tokens, one workspace, one agent, no credit card.

Honest status: we just opened self-serve, and most of our users so far are colleagues, friends, and design partners. You are the first real crowd. We'll be in the comments all day and would genuinely rather hear what's broken or confusing than what's nice.
