Hey PH, Husband-wife startup here! We created PopDish because we were consistently shocked at how hard it was to find great new food near us. No matter how many times we turned to Yelp or Google, they weren’t quite scratching the itch. We kept thinking, “I want a really good salad” or “I’m craving chocolate,” but few restaurants specialize in just salad or chocolate. ;) “What if,” we thought, “we could search for a specific food or dish, and see every option—across every restaurant—near us?” Better yet—what if those search results all had photos, reviews, and insights so you knew exactly what you were getting? Bingo. We assembled a team, poured our hearts and souls into the project, and are excited to introduce it the world. We hope you find it as fun, engaging, and helpful as we do.
