Why is everyone going crazy? This was on product hunt 9 months ago here is the product hunt link https://www.producthunt.com/tech...
This go around they revamped the UI and delivery. This service has been around for a longtime already. It has had multiple take downs and variations. Great developers and community. It's actually not a good thing that it's popped up again in Product Hunt because it puts more pressure on the dev's. The fact that most people on this thread haven't heard about Popcorn Time is actually a good thing. This version is the most efficient way the dev's figured out to circumvent issues they have encountered throughout the last year and a half.
@tim_vermeulen implementation is different. Same product.

@andreioprisan How did I misunderstand? My post describes that.

I would love to try this out. However, Popcorn-time online seems not to be supported by my device. I am using FF on a MacBook. After installing the Torrent-time plugin, still nothing happens?? What am I doing wrong?
Popcorn Time has made a comeback with the launch of "Popcorn Time Online" that allows you to stream all of the movies and TV shows it offers directly in your browser using a new plugin called Torrents Time.
While Popcorn Time Online looks similar to its predecessor, it’s now using Torrents Time to embed a torrent client in the browser, instead of using HTTP.
Since it requires a separate browser plugin, it kind of defies the idea of putting it in a browser.
Flash(back).

Found someone who investigated the program you install.

Some other comments allude to a compiler and the mac version requesting root access. Very tempting but would not run this on your main computer.
