Pole Clock is an analog clock with a 24-hr rotation, making it easy to track time and compare with other time zones. It's intuitive for many, with a clear display that can be helpful for remote workers or those with ADHD. π
Hi! My name is Pascal Pixel and I'm an indie creator. I designed this Pole Clock to be a helpful tool for people like myself who often struggle with managing their sense of time.
I found that analog clocks are generally easier to read and understand than digital ones, however I find the fact that every day is broken into two 12-hour rotations unintuitive. A single 24-hour rotation makes it easier to grasp where in the day you are, the bottom half representing night and the top half representing day.
Additionally, because the clock displays 24 hours, you can add extra hour hands on the clock for other time zones. This is especially useful if you work remotely or have friends and colleagues in different time zones. At a single glance, see where they are in their days and energy levels!
I hope you'll give the Pole Clock a try and find that it helps you better understand and manage your sense of time. π€π»
Congrats on the launch! Awesome little product.
Thoughts on having day/night equal to real sunrise/sunset times?
Also would be cool to see it somewhere other than that retractable sidebar, I personally don't open it really.
@maxslch Thanks Max! π I did try to do a sunset/sunrise for local time, but then it is incorrect for other longitudes! I could put little pins for it on the circumference though... Which sidebar?
@pascalpixel I think itβs fine if itβs incorrect for other longitudes, how would that be helpful?
For sidebar I was referring to that macos interaction where the clock sits that you have to open to check the time basically every time? Can it be displayed on desktop?
Have you also considered hiding some of the numbers? Maybe each second number for a more minimal look and then make each number bigger
I love the difference between day an night. It really helps to be more aware of the day time left and how to better spend it πββοΈ
Well done @pascalpixel π
@reymon359 Thanks Ramon! I feel the same; 'oh wow I'm past the middle of the night in order to update Pole Clock, I should go to bed!'

Nice app! I'd love it on my apple watch! Can you add a toggle to remove the second sweep hand? It should also only update the UI 1x/min in that mode. The movement catches my eye too much.

Great use for the 24h analog dial! (there are a few watches like this, but not multi-timeline AFAIK). Iβd like option to disable the second hand in settings.

This is so cool! Is there any way to embed this? I'd love to put it in my Notion Task Master.
