I built PokiSpokey because I was frustrated with traditional language learning apps they teach you textbook sentences nobody actually says. I wanted to hear how real people use words in real situations, not staged dialogues. So I built a search engine for spoken language. You type a word, it finds the exact millisecond it's spoken across thousands of YouTube videos, and plays it in context. Then an AI explains the pronunciation, grammar, and cultural nuance right there. It supports English, Spanish, French, and German with more coming. Love this concept, exactly the kind of tool I wish existed when I was learning tricky pronunciation. One thing that would make it even better: let me save clips to personal lists with my own notes, so I can build themed decks for things like minimal pairs or business phrases to review later.
