Poise is a push-to-talk AI coach that makes every restaurant, café, bar, or retail employee an instant expert on your store. Hold a button, ask out loud, get a spoken answer in under 2 seconds — grounded only in your own menu and policies, never a hallucinated allergen or price. It records nothing: the mic is on only while held. Under a dollar a day per employee.

Hi PH 👋 I built Poise because of one moment every operator knows: a new hire freezes on a simple guest question, guesses, and gets it wrong.
Poise is a push-to-talk AI coach for restaurants, bars, cafés, and shops. An employee holds a button and asks — "is the carbonara gluten-free?", "what pairs with the ribeye?", "what's our return policy?" — and gets a spoken answer in under two seconds, in English or Spanish.
Two things make it different:
1) It only knows YOUR store. Answers come strictly from your uploaded menu/policies — never a hallucinated allergen or price. If it's not in your docs, it says "check with a manager."
2) It records nothing. The mic is on only while the button is held, then every track is stopped. No always-listening. No guest ever captured. Privacy is the architecture, not a toggle.
It's live, self-serve, and under a dollar a day per employee. The whole thing is a try-before-you-buy demo — talk to it right now, no signup: https://beyondpoise.com
Would love your brutal feedback. What would make you put this in your employees' ears?

How does it actually handle menu updates day to day — like if I change a price or add a seasonal item, is that something I push manually or does it pull from my POS automatically?

How does it actually keep the answers grounded in just your menu and policies without finetuning a model on every store's docs, and does onboarding a new location take minutes or days?

How does it actually keep answers accurate when you change menu items or prices regularly — do you have to retrain it or just upload an updated doc?

How does it handle updates when the menu changes mid-shift, and does it work offline if the store wifi drops during a rush?

how does it handle menu changes on the fly, like if a server adds a daily special an hour before service does it just update automatically or do you have to retrain it

the privacy-by-design call here is really thoughtful. tying the mic to a physical button so it simply can't listen in the background is the kind of small UX choice that makes the whole product feel trustworthy instead of creepy.
