In 2023 I launched Podomedy, a podcast network, and soon learned that podcasters lacked the right tools to be able to promote and highlight their best work. Equally, listeners were feeding back that whenever they did discover a new podcast, possibly with hundreds of episodes, they felt overwhelmed and didn't know where to start. So, in January 2024, I began working with a developer to build out the MVP and in May, I began beta testing. A simple drag-and-drop interface means podcasters can arrange episodes with ease, while listeners are given a mobile-first experience with familiar controls. To push Podsprite to the next level, Kickstarter activity is planned to help fund additional features in the summer including embedded playlists, profanity filters, and playlist gamification. Podsprite is primarily a tool for podcasters, producers, and networks to help them mix, match and share playlists to help drive downloads and increase show discovery. It can also be used by listeners to create playlists of their favourite episodes from shows - and even gift playlists - but as of right now 'listeners' are not our ideal customer. I'm using Product Hunt because I'd love to get more feedback on Podsprite before going to market this September. Register as a beta tester to create up to ten playlists for free. Many thanks.
